BEFORE THEY BECAME COLLECTIBLES, THEY WERE STORIES.

Long before these creatures took tangible form in resin and light, they breathed across three thousand years of ancient Chinese lore and cosmology.

MYTHIC CODEX · ORIGIN TEXT ARCHIVE CODEX
“Beyond the Black Waters of the southwest lies the Great Wilderness... Casting eyes across the charts of mountains and seas, in an instant one gazes through the boundless universe.”

Compiled between the Warring States and early Han eras, the Shan Hai Jing (Classic of Mountains and Seas) reaches back to the dawn of Chinese civilization. Far more than a geographical archive, it was the primordial encyclopedia of how ancient ancestors perceived heaven, earth, and untamed nature.

In the eyes of ancient sages, every towering peak was guarded by an immortal deity, every sudden gale was summoned by winged spirits, and every river surged with mythical aquatic beings. Humanity, beasts, and seasonal elements existed in reciprocal harmony.

These beings are neither Western fantasy monsters nor generic beasts. They are sacred manifestations of ancestral totem worship, the Five Elements (Wu Xing), and celestial order—now digitally reborn as enduring physical artifacts.

SACRED REALMS · MYTHIC ORDER ANCIENT SPIRITS
“In the eastern wilderness the morning sun awakens; in the western abyss the moon descends. Spirits of the eight realms maintain cosmic order, while auspicious beasts dispel perils.”

Across the vast mythic geography of the Shan Hai Jing, every extraordinary creature occupied a defined spiritual domain. From Bai Ze atop Mount Kunlun's sacred glaciers knowing all 11,520 spirit names, to the White Tiger commanding the sovereign metal forces of the West.

From the Winged Dragon Ying Long carving river channels to stem primordial floods, to the Divine Phoenix Feng Huang whose serene descent signaled universal peace—these entities governed weather, shielded dynasty coordinates, and preserved cosmic balance.

Whether it is Luo Yu leaping from rapids as an omen of surging waters, Bo with saw-teeth warding off battlefield violence, or three-headed Qi Tu devouring night terrors, these tales weave an incomparable living tapestry of Eastern mythic imagination.
